whirlpool awz 510 e problem

hi i have read the other posts on this issue but have not found a solution yet.
my whirlpool awz 510 e washer/dryer will wash the clothes fine, and will even dry them. the problem is that at the end of the cycle the END light remains ON and does not reset to start a new wash cycle.
the machine drains completely and the door can be opened, but when i put another load in i cannot begin a new wash because it is stuck on END.
i can turn the knob to the required cycle but thats as far as i can get.
i have run the machine on empty on a 90 degree wash and also run it on DRAIN/SPIN to try to reset the temp sensor and make sure ALL water has been drained.
i have also cleaned out the pump and ALL hoses and pipes.
i have even removed the top cover and cleared and checked the pressure switch and hose, but they appear to be working fine.
is it a problem with the main board, or hopefully something simpler(cheaper) to fix. thanks for any advice

When a programme has ended do you turn the selector knob that's not shown in the picture to the off position? normally when this is done and wait 5/10 sec it is ready for the next selection .

i have tried that, and sometimes it works, and sometimes not.
also sometimes switching the power off at the socket a few times helps it reset.giving it a good shake helps sometimes too(but usually that just helps me).
i just noticed that when viewed through the phones camera the light is flashing off and on, but this is not visible to the naked eye. when the machine is operating normally the light is not flashing through the camera.

ok, try this as a diy remedy, press the start/pause button twice in succession if any signs of water in the drum set to drain afterwards unplug for two minutes min before trying next cycle otherwise its beyond diy repair.

thanks. i will try that the next time it gets stuck and will let you know the results. if it does not work do you think it is the main board that has gone or something else?

My machine has exactly the same problem. Did you ever find a fix?

i tried all the suggestions i was given. the machine is, at present working fine, but who knows for how long. try the other posters suggestions and give me a shout again

The problem is with the swich behind the dial, each time it clicks on another notch you are creating a new circuit, either the swich is faulty or more commonly the contacts are dirty and not making the connection

You can take out the swich and clean it if you are handy!!

Or you may need a new swich, but if it has started working again its prob just dirty connection.

Hi all,
We have an AWZ 512 machine which has stopped work - the Start light just keeps flashing and we cannot start any programme. We have tried switching it on and off, checking for blockages in the outlet but to no avail. The manual does not mention this symptom so we are at a standstill.

Any ideas as to what could be wrong?

Thanks Ace. We have checked around the lock and can't see enough to know if that is the issue. Looks like it might not be user-fixable. Thanks again for your time.
