Is it the "post a video of your swing" thread you're looking for?
On the phone so can't link it for you but use the search function and you'll find it

Was looking for that myself recently! Ah well, will have to go elsewhere to get some advice on swing analysis devices now..

I was looking for it too. In fact, before it was removed I was thinking it was fast becoming a "buy a swingbyte from breakingpar.ie" thread, rather than a thread for people to chat about the array of tools out there for doing swing analysis. Either way, I'm disappointed it's gone.

You guys do know that you can create your own threads....right?
Shill/spamtastic threads will always be removed.

It was a lengthy thread with a lot of good information, which is why people are wondering where it went and why. I don't spend that much time on boards, but I thought it was common practise for mods to interject within a thread, rather than just deleting it.

RonnieL has hit the nail on the head here, the thread started a long time ago and had some great information about all sorts of Swing devices including some links to independent testing/reviews of some of these devices, this information should not have been deleted. There is also a review from Kevin Markham from boards on one of the swing devices, a Swingbyte.

I have to ask where is the consistency with deleting threads/information such as this. Did/do the threads on the golf majors get totally deleted when gambling/betting was mentioned (esp last year around US Masters time etc),the answer is NO.
Other threads that have rogue posts in general have that post moved/modified/deleted not the entire thread
Also how are threads deleted, is it by just one forum Moderator? (i would hope not) or does one or more Mod have to agree to delete the thread??

firstly the thread wasn't deleted, it was unapproved until I got a satisfactory response on something.
secondly, anything can be deleted at anytime, you don't own your posts, you are however responsible for them.
thirdly, half the posts in that thread were unacceptable, that's why the entire thread was moderated.
fourthly (!) moderators are perfectly capable of acting on their own.
finally, if you have an issue with moderation or moderators that you feel you just have to ask, take it to pm or the feedback thread.
backseat moderation is against the forum charter and is unacceptable.
