Don't ibood take up to three months to ship stuff?

I bought a Nexus 4 off them and it took about 2 weeks but was shipped a few days earlier than they said it would be.

I bought a 32 inch LED TV almost 4 years ago from them. It started breaking after 1 month and I had to involve European Consumer Centre and wait about a year in total before I got my money back

it'a cheap class 4 product from Philips. Far far away from decent picture quality (like 8 or 9 class products, or even 7 at least)

I recently bought a higher end Philips Smart TV and everything about it is perfect... except the Smart TV part.
The selection of apps is so poor. The app gallery is based on region and the Irish one is terrible, doesn't even have Netflix. You can change the location pretty easily with the remote and get on the Uk one to get Netflix and a few radio apps but that's about the height of it. The browser is supposedly better than the other manufacturers but if it's the Smart TV that appeals to you, I would go with something else.

I wouldn't touch a philips tv. Google flashing led lights and philips.

I think the price should make it obvious that this is a budget TV. What sort of money is a 42in class 7/8/9 TV?

Non 3d and for sale from other european sellers for about €500 but a few UK sellers have it on offer for £650 or so. It was released in March.

why does the model no. end with H? European model ? looks like a good price.

I have bought 4-5 items in last 6 months. No issues until now.
Bought this for my friend. Hopefully our friendship lasts more than the TV :D

The shipping date is 16Sep and items usually come via UPS which means 2-3 days for Dublin. Add another day for rest of Ireland.

Normally warranty is europe wide so supported locally as well. Hence any issues with TV and Phillips Ireland should be able to fix it.

I have a question though. How do you measure TV class ? (i.e. this is class 4 TV and not class 7/8/9)

Has anyone come across a review on this? I can't find anything about this "class" business.

I've never heard anything about different "classes" of electronics? Would like to know more!

The model of the TV is 42PFL4208H.

It's the 4208 that tells you the class.
4 is the class, 208 is a more specific identifier within that class and the H is probably a country identifier which might mean a specific type of tuner etc.

All manufacturers work on a similar basis. The €1500 TV will have a better panel, more powerful processor, more features, more ports etc. That will be a different class like 9000 or whatever.
    See here. http://www.philips.ie/c/televisions/29615/cat/#/range

Sounds like people are confusing "class" with "product range"...
