    hi all
anyone know the average price for 6 tonne rear discharge spreader? Cross, Hi-spec ect? and are they any better than side spreaders. Have an 8.5 cubic metre one at the min. Using a 94hp tractor. Thanks :)

What are you planning on spreading? The rear discharge units are much better at spreading straw bedding dung straight from the shed. The side spreaders with chains are better when it comes to dung when it breaks down.

it would be mostly straw dung from the sheds, its banked for a few months before being spread but it would still be fairlt strawy.
