    Hey guys I have my first build nearly sorted just waiting on my processor and ram, I tried to turn on the mobo to test out my gpu and case fans and see if they spin but it won't work, Is this normal since there's no processor and ram?

    Yes it won't do much without a cpu or ram.

    Some motherboards will power on, fans etc with an error re CPU, OR OTHERS wont at all, as for ram it wont post as ram forms part of your display property's.

    Perfect thanks guys, it's an asrock extreme 6 mobo btw. I should be getting the 2 tomorrow so i'll post if any problem occurs.
    Btw bloodbath I have the nanoxia deep silence case 1, and it has 3 built in fans, does it matter which fan channel I use to connect them to the mobo or does the rear fan have to be connected to fan channel 1 on the mobo ?
