Hey guys, having a problem with a replacement screen on my Dell XPS l503x model, would appreciate any help.

Lon story short(er). Laptop fell a couple of weeks back, absolutely destroyed the screen (pretty much a totally dark screen bar a few colours here and there, basically it was unusable) so had to order a replacement. Decided to go for this one as it only cost about 65e.

Until the replacement arrived I just hooked the laptop up to my TV via a HDMI cable and have had no problems with that.
Anyway the new screen arrived a couple of weeks back and so I had a crack at replacing it today, using this video to guide me

Did everything I was instructed to do and booted up the laptop. At first it seemed to be working fine, but after a couple of seconds I noticed that there was a sort of bright cloudy haze throughout the screen with distorted the color schemes and text (Imagine viewing a screen through lightly tinted yellow glass and you might have an idea of what I mean). I have absolutely no idea what's wrong. Could it be that I ordered an LED screen as opposed to LCD? or maybe that I haven't properly connected all the cables?

As I said, it's getting frustrating at this stage, and any help is very much appreciated.
