Loss in power in Opel Insignia

Hi folks. I just want to get your opinion on this recent loss in power I have experienced. It's a 09 Opel Insignia 2.0 cdti. It was filled up on Monday at a local reputable seller and it went on a long journey straight away. The next day on a short journey the car experienced a small loss in power accompanied by the fuel low warning alarm. The engine recovered immediately and it drove the remainder of the journey normally. A few more short journeys passed without anything happening. But it happened again to the wife driving home today. The car is nearly due a service but is it possible something more sinister is going on?

Have a look at the coolant level when it gets light. We've had a good few failures of the EGR Cooler on Insignia's recently, usually resulting in loss of power (to various degrees) along with a loss of coolant.

No one has mentioned fuel warning's though, but its an easy one to check and rule out.

I had a seal/gasket in the EGR area, caused overheating and loss of power. It had 93k on clock

So far the power loss has literally lasted only about a second accompanied by the low fuel boing. Now I haven't been on a long journey to notice any overheating. However I did think the temp gauge got up to normal temp quite quickly yesterday.
