1987 Raleigh Burner Styler for sale
I picked up this bike recently with the intention of fully restoring it and using it out and about, but due to a change in plans that is not going to happen now.

The bike itself is a 1987 Raleigh Styler Burner. As far as I can find out the styler was introduced at the end of the burner craze in 1986.
This particular styler uses the same parts (including frame, crank and wheels) as the mag burner (probably the best looking burner imho). The frame and forks are straight. The wheels are the original 7 spoke simplex wheels and are in reasonable condition. There are no cracks or dents, but does have a small buckle in the rear wheel. The wheels will be stripped and greased before I sell the bike. When I got the bike it needed
a few parts to get it up and running and as such I have replaced the tyres, tubes, chain, brake cables (inner and outer) and brake levers with new parts. I have stripped down and regreased the head bearing and the bottombracket/crank. The paint has some scrapes as you would expect on a 26 yr old bmx, but its not too bad. Ive seen worse.

If someone was wanting to restore this I priced powder coating, pads and decals on ebay for about 150 for all 3.

I am looking for 150 euro for the bike as that is what it stands me currently but will listen to reasonable offers. I will include the original brake levers, raleigh branded brake blocks and chain in the sale, but they are obviously worn. I can also deliver the bike to or around Dublin city centre, or anywhere north of that. Delivery (within reason) would be included in the price.

Any questions, or if anyone wants any more pics give me a shout.

    Lenny

So tempted. I had this bike as a kid and was the best bike I ever had.
I just won't get the use out of it.
    Would love it though

I wouldn't know how to work on it.
Is there any problems cycling it as it is?

Also I'm 6"2. What size is bike. Is it made for kids?

Edit: just saw the mention of the buckle

its cycling alright, one of the pedals has loose bearings, but i could supply platform pedals if required. The buckle is only a slight buckle, it rides fine. IM about 5.10. Its a 20 inch bmx bike, so its gonna be small. Its fine when standing on the pedals, but sitting isnt the most comfortable (but sure ye allways stand on a bmx anyway!! :))

I'll be like a giant on a 20'' bike and a bit worried about the buckle in a mag wheel.
    I can bid €100.

Thanks very much for the offer redzerredzer, but it stands me more than that at the moment. I could come down a bit if you could go up a bit.

I could meet in the middle at €125 if I'm happy after riding it. I do need to check out the buckle.

    Collected bike. Delighted with it.
