I've decided that I'd like to add a decent light weight ( I don't like heavy guns !) semi auto to the collection and am thinking about buying a Beretta A400 Xplor Light 12 g 26 inch barrels with the Kick Off fitted.

Do any of ye have any experience of this gun and if so what do ye think of it ?.

Basically I want a semi-auto mainly for decoying pigeons so need a gun that will cycle the lower power/cheaper cartridges such as the 28g Eley Olympics , but I will also use much heavier 3 inch loads for the odd fox drive and a few days duck shooting as well.

Also I'd like to know are they easy to clean ? Someone suggested to me that as it's gas operated it will be a pain in the a*se to clean and that I'd be better off with an inertia operated Benelli ?

Finally anyone know of an RFD who is likely to stock that model ,preferably in the South but I'm willing to travel , as before I commit to buying I'd have to shoulder the gun/check for fit first.

    any help/advice appreciated.

    Thanks

Have an A400 unico xplor cant fault it will shoot everything if you run it in right first ( 50 rounds of 32g). I have the kickoff on mine and I like it, it just feels right.
I think the light means light loads as it wont shoot 3.5 inch shells.
Cleaning is pretty easy you will have no problems. Plenty of videos on Youtube on them.

Red Mills have two in stock http://www.thegunstore.ie/eu/guns/shotguns/beretta-a400-light.html
