Small bird black breast white spots

In my Dublin garden I spotted a bird which would be smaller than a blackbird. Brown upper body, the breast was distinctly black rather than the brown of a song thrush as displayed on the Birdwatch Ireland site. The black beast was speckled with white spots.

Any ideas on what it is?

Juvenile robin? And, nearly as big as its parent , juvenile blackbird?

    Starling maybe?

The pattern of white spots on black breast was something I have not seen before. Quite like a polka dot pattern.

Sharp black breast in contrast to brown upper body.

I think Whyulittle might have it, look up juvenile starling and see what you think, were there others? Starlings are rarely alone.

Incidentally Whyulittle, always enjoyed the pics from Boora, haven't seen any for a while ?

My vote is for starling also - juveniles can look quite weird, varying amounts of brown and spotted black plumage
