TMNT minor toy rant

My girlfriend bought me a lovely present of Raphael from Nickleodeons new TMNT series. Its pretty cool and much more poseable than the Raph toys I had in the early 90s.

She had originally wanted to buy the sai flinging Raph, which flings his sais but she bought them in Argos and the catalogue said something like "Colors may vary", meaning you couldn't select which character you got so she went to customer service and asked could she ask to get the "red one", and the girl came back to her and said "Sorry we don't have any red ones. We only have green ones".

    I found it funny.

One thing that annoys me slightly, not by this but by one of the other TMNT toys that is available. The Mutagen Ooze Drop Copter. Seemingly they are copying Ghostbusters toys and are selling canisters of Ooze, which you can play with. Presumably the ooze is a consumable, which will mean you will have to come back and buy more when it is gone. In Ghostbusters it made sense in that slime was part and parcel of being a Ghostbuster, but in what scenario would the turtles require a helicopter which drops ooze, unless they were planning on turning everyone in NYC into a mutant?

The turtles have dozens of potential toys at their disposal. No sign of the blimp being remade (which i really wanted as a kid) why do they create ones that don't make any sense. I am sure 7 year old me would be asking the same question were he here today.

I'd be interested in hearing what people thought on this or any other toys TMNT or otherwise that you saw and went "WTF? That makes no sense in that universe". The myriad of Spider-man motorcycles are a prime example. When has he ever in the marvel universe had a branded motorbike, and why would he use one when he can get across town way faster by web-slinging.
