    Lottie Ryan, then Daithi ... wonder which radio/TV person will be staunchly defended next.

    You have to question if he wasnt an Irish speaker and therefore didnt get his start on TG4, would have made it? I doubt it, as he isnt particular funny( you laugh at him and not with him), he isnt particularly good looking and he is kinda of awkward to watch. I just think he is another person on RTE, that no one would notice if they disappeared off the schedule tomorrow

    Begrudgery...No! He comes across as awfully wooden with his dated anecdotes. He actually makes the people he interviews look nervous, very similar to Brendan O'Connor. Surely RTE can find better people than those two!

    Maybe cut Daithi a bit if slack here for a bit - His Dad - Maidhc Dainin O Se died suddenly yesterday.

    A well-known musician and writer, Mr O Se was one of the most prolific writers in the Irish language and had published 19 books.

    yeah that's what I thought, but according to wikipedia, he was born in 1976.
