Connect the Triax box via HDMI cable into the Onkyo CBL/SAT HDMI port. Check the Triax manual to make sure that the HDMI port carries digital audio, otherwise you'll need to connect the Triax SPDIF port to the Onkyo 'Coaxial CBL/SAT' port for digital audio.

Connect the DVD yellow video 'out' phono socket via a phono cable into the Onkyo BD/DVD video/audio 'in' RCA socket (picture quality will be poor). Connect the DVD optical line out to the Onkyo 'Game' optical socket and configure that port on the Onkyo setup menus for DVD audio 'in'. No need in that case to connect the L & R RCA audio ports on the DVD player to the Onkyo.

Edit: But if you'll only have L & R speakers then the DVD phono audio connections will do fine and you can buy an optical cable if/when you get a 5:1 speaker setup.

Connect the TV via component video (x 3 cables) to the Onkyo 'Component Video Out' sockets. This will give you a good picture quality but you will probably have to manually adjust the picture format using the TV remote when the program changes from classic (4:3) format to widescreen (16:9).

Note that all of the audio (optical, coaxial and phono) connections on the Onkyo are 'in'. The Onkyo will not send an audio signal to the TV other than via HDMI so you will have to organise left and right external speakers given that you do not have a HDMI port on the TV.
