A Lotto punter came within hours of losing a fortune...after chucking her winning ticket in the BIN.

The single mum from Galway almost lost out on €258,528, but rummaged through her rubbish before it was too late.

She had searched high and low for the EuroMillions slip and eventually found it covered in onions and garlic at the bottom of the household bin.

And yesterday, it all came up smelling of roses as she toasted her amazing fortune at National Lottery HQ in Dublin.

“I forgot all about it until a few weeks later when I saw a picture of the shop in the newspaper and the story that a winning EuroMillions ticket was sold there.

Talk about using up all your luck credits at the same time !

1, She's obviously lucky she bought the winning ticket in the first place.
2, Lucky she spotted that picture in the paper when she did.
3, Lucky she managed to find the thing the night before it was lost forever.

Fair play to her. Its a nice amount of money to win and I wish her the best of luck with it. :)

What difference does it make to anything that she's a mother?

Covered in onions and garlic? Not one for recycling then.

Because Biko now sees her as a MILF more than just a woman. ;)

Rich milf, what's there not to like :D

Tbh, single mums don't have it easy. A lotto win like that must have been very welcome indeed.
