Windscreen for Passat b5.5?

    Hi, any one have idea where to get and replace used front windscreen for passat 2001 B5.5 , 2001 ? need as cheap as possible, also front passenger window regulator needed, cant find anything for descent price. will try partfinder also.

    What's wrong with it, broken/cracked?
    Do you have windscreen cover on your insurance?
    Regulators should be available on ebay and similar. Try micksgarage and perhaps adverts and donedeal for people breaking their cars.

    windscreen is cracked , wont pass NCT , got two replays from partfinder for used window regulators.. they are joke.. wanted 70 quid for them, while new cost 79 .. if i am not mistaken in somora.
    all those sites rang or texted, most of time too expencive, half not answer phone or emails. just need to get that car sorted asap for nct, without spending mad money. will look in ebay , forgot about that.

    My 00 Passat failed the NCT for a crack. It ran 2inches up from the middle bottom of the screen and then over toward the passengers side for maybe 3/4 inches. I chanced my arm but the NCT guy said no way it would pass with the size of the crack. Only TPFT insurance with no window cover (Car ain't worth the cost of fully comp).

    I paid €125.00 fitted with Autoglass for a brand new windscreen which was not that bad to be honest.

    got quote with mrwindscreen - 180 ... no way,

    one respond about used one .. 50, no bad though, sealant cost 20 ish... might will have to do myself.

    maybe i wasnt clear enough, anybody know some company, which would sell windscreen without fitting ? I heard there is some shops, which are selling windscreens for windscreen fitting companies, looking to get some info about them.

    Tbh mate I don't think so, only way I can think of (since you want to keep cost down) is to check breakers and remove it from the old car yourself without breaking it. Not an easy job.
    That said you should be able to find many Passats on partfinder.ie, www.findapart.ie and traynors.co.uk
