Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,

Just sharing this post from Makeshift Ensemble, If interested or know someone who might be, please get in touch.

    CALL FOR MUSICIANS!

Do you play VIOLIN, VIOLA, FRENCH HORN, OBOE or BASSOON or know someone who does?

We are still looking for additional classical musicians for upcoming theatre production to be presented as part of the Dublin Fringe Festival in September.
Instrumentation: Violins, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Horns, and Bassoon. The piece to be performed is a section from the final movement from Haydn's Symphony #45.

The musicians would need to be available for 4 shows (11th-14th September), performing for approx. 5 minutes for each show.
The musicians woulds ideally make themselves available for two 2-hour rehearsals in September (one on the 9th, the other TBD), and technical/dress rehearsals which will take place the week of the performances.

Makeshift Ensemble can offer a small fee for each musician.

We also promise it will be really really fun.

    Please contact eszter@makeshiftensemble.com if interested.

This would be great experience for anyone who is interested in performing music for theatre, and may lead to further work with Makeshift Ensemble in future productions.
