If anyone wants to see how badly Councils spend money they should take the Glenealy/Rathdrum/Avoca Road (R752).
On the (very dangerous) approach to Rathdrum there's very little signage or speed restrictions , one mistake and you're over a cliff into the river :eek: , but on the other side of the town there's a blizzard of signage and speed ramps on what is a much safer road. It's no wonder people don't feel they're getting value from their taxes :mad:

Not in Wicklow, but on a road that is the spine of that county - there are still a couple of old road signs on the N11 Stillorgan dual carriageway dating back to when it was first built in the 1970s -
