    Hi folks
Just wondering does your milk get tested for SCC butterfat and protein on every collection? Got penalised last month for SCC. It was 10 above what it should have been for the month but wasnt tested for SCC, protein or butterfat on one collection due to a thermoduric test on this day, feel very much aggrieved as the test either side of the thermoduric test was way below the 350 mark so would have brought me below the penalty level needless to say there is no hop whatsoever from the coop. any advice?

Go to SCC thread and you may get answers there.
No other test is done while Thermo is being done.

as delaval said coop cant do any other tests when a test for thermodurics is being done, as they need all the milk from the sample to do it.
you wont win your case from that angle.
if you had no other high scc for the year you might have a chance as one off, but the dairies will be cracking down on penalties as milk quality slips from now on

Yep goes on a rolling average but for one collection a month when the thermoduric test is taken there is no protein butterfat or scc test done. As you say they need the sample for the thermoduric but why not take a second test so we are paid on the solids of every single collection and penalised if necessary on scc of every collection
First fine in years, makes no difference it appears,
