any idea of how long the whole thing takes? is it just a blood test, or is there are immunisation's actually done on the first appointment.

about half an hour in total, they just take your bloods and then if u dnt have a BCG scar they do a mantoux test which is just a quick injection, was in with the nurse for about 10 mins :)

Do all health based students have to go and do this? Im doing physio and I know I'm up to date on all my injections and that. Do I still have to go up or does anyone know?:D

Yep all courses which have clinical placements. Generally you'll have most if not all your immunisations already so you'll need to get a blood test to confirm for the college. The only real one most people have to get is the Hep B immunisation which is 3 injections over the course of the year. Can do it with your own GP or with the college itself.

And when are the blood tests taking place? this weekend? Im on the beer for my debs tomorrow night so I won't be in any state for blood tests up in the college :P

There's no set time, you can just go to the college health service whenever yourself or you can go to your own GP to get it done.

Do you have to send the blood to Trinity or cand you just get the resukts from the GP and send them to Trinity then..? :)

Bring the immunisation checklist to your GP & they will sign off that you've had the blood test done & you have your immunities. Then you send in that checklist to the relevant office in your department.
