    Well lads,
There's a caterpillar 312c for sale on donedeal - 2004, 4650 hours, claiming to have no real heavy work done.

Now I don't really know anything about diggers, but at €26000 there's got to be something up there, right? Even if vat is put onto that it seems a bit too good to be true. I suspect the undercarriage might be a bit worn, or worse. What I was wondering is if there's anything that I should look out for in particular, any problems with the 312c?
Lastly, with all the talk of clocks being wound back on machines these days, are there any tell tale signs it's been done, or if a clock has gone the whole way around and gone back to the start? That machine doesn't look like it's done over 100k hours (if that's the clocks limit), but with re-spraying and all that I suppose anything is possible.
    Thanks.

It would be clapped out at 10k, at 100k it would be in the Cat museum.. and €26k is neither cheap nor dear, work for diggers is scarce and the exporters are the main buyers.. bring someone with you to look at it who knows machines, and don't bring cash, just in case...:)
