    Hi
I missed part of a terrific programme on ITV3 last night called "A Place of Execution".
Can anyone advise how to see it again.

    Thanks

If you want to access the itv player then a VPN could be your best bet.

Now there are other ways.... Ways that can not be discussed in detail here but I would recommend investigating accessing torrents or via a particular repository on xbmc

A VPN is a virtual network

companies that distribute location based content ie itv or the beeb use your ip (Internet) address to determine where you are. Thats why you can't access the itv player here.

However.... Subscription to a VPN (of which they're many) essentially give you a different ip address in your case you will want a uk one. And all of a sudden the itv player works and you get to watch your programme .... Yippee.

If you are going to subscribe then expect to pay around $5ish per month.

But also several do free trials. This would allow you to watch your programme free today. The only downside to this is that you may get the VPN bug.

Xbmc is a really good media player for your pc / tab/ apple tv etc. it can access third party repositories...... And this is really all I can say here without getting into a tad of grief. If this is an angle you want to go down I would recommend using your google button.

    Hope this helps

    Hi thanks for the info.
I nearly always try Google first before coming to Boards but I generally get a right run-around I'm afraid.

Google mediahint - It's a plugin for firefox or chrome.

There is an add-on for Firefox called anonymoX which I have used to watch BBC Iplayer - I presume that ITV player would also work with it. It basically gives you another IP address though slows down browsing so turn it off when you do not need it.

Could also try an add-on for firefox or chrome called Hola (https://hola.org/), this lets you pick which country you wish to appear as if you're coming from. So you could go to the ITV site, use Hola to say you're from UK and away you go...

    Hi
I tried it - but no luck !
    Any other suggestions ?
ITV don't seem to have the rights to replay it so it looks like its a non-runner.

    Just tried bappelbe's solution -

I can assure you itv player works on the free version
however it appears you are right - itv player does not have A Place of Execution on its list.

I did however find it on itunes:

    https://itunes.apple.com/tv-season/place-of-execution-pt.-1/id336802460?i=336911021&ign-mpt=uo%3D5

    Hi
Just finished watching this on utube.
Have to say I was well worth searching for it.
One of the best Drama programmes I've seen in a long time.
Great acting, Great storyline, Great production.
