Lip Tie/Tongue Tie and Dental Problems

My daughter was diagnosed with very mild tongue tie when she was born. The general theory on tongue tie is not to snip unles it's causing a problem. She has thrived since birth so I left it. However for other reasons I kept it in mind and recently noticed she also has very obvious lip tie.

Can lip tie affect teeth in later life? Do any of you dentists have experience of lip or tongue tie in relation to dental health?

Our family have a history of periodontitis and I have it at an advanced stage and the last thing I want is to leave my daughter even more vulnerable to it.
