And what a lovely hot summer its been (we can't complain about the weather this year), so what did you get up to in summer 2013.
Maybe you went camping with the family in Galway for two weeks? Or maybe you had a real blast and went to Ibiza on a ten day party-thon! What about a two month working holiday down under in Oz, did anyone do that? Or maybe you just stayed at home with your mates for the holidays and had a great time at home? Anyone hire a mobile home/static caravan for a week in Tramore? Back packing in Thailand? Did anyone travel around South America or the States for their hols?

The long hot summer holidays are nearly at an end now, so what did you get up to?
Any & all funny stories from the holidays are very welcome :))

I worked. Haven't left Dublin in 3 years.

Compared to 1995 it wasn't really a long hot summer at all. Just average, what we should be getting.

4 music festivals and about a 4,000 mile roadtrip across AK, OK, TX, NM, AZ, NV, and CA.

Sucks having to work in the summer :D

Two weeks. Thats all we got. Two frigging weeks. Not sure about the rest of the country but Galway had only two weeks of sun. Is that a summer?

Im going to Australia for a year in a few weeks, il let you know about summer 2013 in December. I can finally ditch my hot water bottle.

I worked. I worked some more. I worked a bit more.

Three weeks in the Seychelles booked for October, though, so my summer will happen then. :D

Had 4 months off and have nothing to show for it. Did nothing except apply for jobs and sleep. I really hate summer. I wish they had summer college!

My summer started out good, then turned terrible, and it has ended fantastic :)

I took some steps in the right direction, I'm tackling my depression, I lost weight, feel confident and sexy.

Actually that all happened in the last 2 weeks :o

Had a baby so spent the summer hiding from the heat, being a moo cow and not sleeping very much!

Can't understand, two weeks of heat three tops, THAT WAS IT, there has been no full sunny days since maybe a glimpse here and there. Granted it has not been a wash out, been dry, but not much in the way of sun.

Spent two weeks in Denmark not going to restaurants (waaaaaay too expensive) and not going to bars, which seem to be pretty non-existant outside the major cities.

    Great bike lanes though.

A few nights in Yokosuka, followed by a couple of nights in Karuizawa. The kids loved it.

Spent three weeks in Canada, Toronto to be precise, with the wife and kids, visiting my Sister-in-law. Thank God for her and her big house. Best Holiday Ever.....

Been a good summer for the travels this year. Went to Brugges, Portugal, F1 in Germany, The Netherlands and London a few times, mainly weekend breaks to see mates and boyfriend working abroad.

I thought the summer temps were very good this year, certainly along the east coast/midlands.
