Hi was wondering if anyone knows if you can claim FIS while on a job bridge placement? I am a single parent of 4 and have just started an internship . I don't know if its worth filling in the form or not as one website said no and another said lone parents are sometimes eligible?
I am appreciating the extra €50 and enjoying working again but financially it's tough with child care and travel cost?
    Any advice would be appreciated.

From citizens information Getting FIS with other social welfare
    payments
You cannot get FIS if you are on one of the
following schemes or social welfare payments:
    Community Employment Scheme, Rural Social
Scheme, the TÚS scheme or JobBridge.
    Jobseeker's Benefit or Jobseeker's Allowance
    State Pension (Transition) or Pre-Retirement
    Allowance

Thank you, thought it was worth asking! Working 40 hours with 4 kids. Am enjoying working but it's tough financially with travel and childcare. Plus it's mat leave cover so I don't think there is much chance of a job at the end...I think I'm free to apply for jobs if something comes up and hopefully it will look good when applying for jobs?
Think you have to work at least 19 hours?
