    Case: Fractial Design Node 304
    cpu: i5 4670k
    motherboard: Asus maximus VI impact
    Gpu: Asus GTX 770/780

(Asus mobo has a wifi builtin and the gpu are the quietest plus the colour scheme match )

I've been looking around the SFX psus and the only one is over 450w is the silverstone 80+ gold and bronze(louder than the gold), but that reviews on several sites meantion the loud noise, namely because of 120mm fan on a normal psu goes slower and the 80mm goes faster any noiser (according to reviews). It's a great psu but isn't quiet as I would like.

I know that the full 160mm modular psu can't really work. If I have a modular then the gpu card will cover over a lot of the modules. However I have no problem using a non-modular, but these take up a lot of space. Can anybody got any ideas about it?

    SST Strider 450W SFX PSU

I'm not buying froim that site used it as a ref. newegg have a better reviews kinda tell you what the bad points are.

Also, using a Corsair Hydro Series H55 which shouldn't have a too much noise since will have it replaced with a noctua, but if anybody have better suggestions in water cooler.

Most just want to slam them together, but want mine loud, but silient lan party whore :).

It's not marked, other than a sticker on the PSU itself, but Silverstone released a 2.0 version of that PSU a couple of months back, and most retailers should be carrying it at this point.

The main thing changed was the fan curve, with the result that the PSU is quite a bit quieter at idle speeds. It's still not going to be silent or anything, but it should be quite a bit quieter than the version 1.0/1.1 units.

Yeah, I read about that and since it had been the idle load it had been quite good, 400-ish rpms less up until the 70% load then jumps up to previous versions and still quite high fron the RPMs 3000 rpm at max load (2400 rpm at only 70%) still quite high. Still looks like it is only one for me. I can get a quiter sounding from the bigger standard form factor, but going to be messy. Heh. Thanks
