In-Programme Electives - do they count as core/optional modules?

    Hi,

Heading into 3rd Year Politics as a BA Joint Major Student. The requirement for degree compliance is that I take six from a list of fourteen (mostly level 3) modules in stage 2 to graduate as my core/optional modules. If I have taken two of these modules as electives in second year, do they count as me having completed these modules for my degree - meaning that I should only take 4 of the 6 modules in third year, the other two already being completed as electives in second year.

I've been trying to get info on this from both the politics office and the registry website, I suspect that a lot of people are in the same boat as me.

    Thanks! :)

They are counted. When you use electives in program they basically are counted as another option module. But you'll probably still have to take additional Politics modules anyway to fill the gaps or take them from your other major option
