Dungeon dressing miniatures

    That's pretty cool!

I'm slightly lazier about painting stuff, but I've bought, downloaded and built a stack of papercraft models and scenery for using in dungeon crawls, like the stuff from Fat Dragon Games here.

When I've used them it's mosly been 3D paper models on top of 2D dungeon map. I have an ambition, though, to make stacks and stacks of wall pieces and do a dungeon several "layers" high, each stacked on top of the other, and play the dungeon, removing each layer as the players delve ever deeper...

I've done that type of layers thing before. I have a bunch of wall and block pieces a few years ago and use those fairly often.

Made a couple of sets of stairs too that I think are pretty cool.

I also use the dungeon tile sets, like these.

    Overview

I just bought some 160gsm paper in an art shop and folded it to the shapes I wanted and glued them together. I downloaded some castle wall textures, printed them out and glued them to the finished shapes. Made a bunch of 8"x1" walls, 2"x2" blocks, 4"x2" blocks. Also some other pieces with different textures glued to them, like a 5"x1" wall with knives on it for a blade wall.

I ordered a bunch of stuff from the Reaper Kickstarter last year, just got them a few weeks ago.

That is a lot of pretty minis. You're making me feel guilty about my tendencies to use starburst for monsters, lego men for PCs and a whiteboard with a map drawn on it.
