    Hi all,

Just wondering if anybody has any experience running magic lantern (in particular on a 6D)? And if so how stable it is? The current version on their site doesn't seem to have support for the 6D but their forum has users running it on 6D. Would prefer some more local experience if possible! It would be more for photos than video.

I use ML on my 5d mkii, overall its pretty stable, however I would be inclined to wait a bit till a version that fully supports the 6D is realised. Should be in the near future I imagine, they're pretty good at updating it for new cameras.

Im pretty sure its impossible to brick a camera with ML. It doesn't install on your camera it boots off the card so yanking the battery reverts the camera.

That said I have a 5d Mk II and therefore its supported... :D

There are a few which are handy for stills such as the built in intervalometer for time-lapse stuff and focus peaking which is great for focusing in live view, you can also change the grid overlay on the live view screen which can be handy for shot composition.

It's fantastic. Especially for DSLR video. Focus peaking, zebras, the "magic zoom" box. cropmarkers, histogram, ability to change bitrate, fps override hdr video, bracketing for photos, intervalometer, bulb ramping, timers, motion detect, trap focusing, rack focusing, LiveView only contrast saturation and gain controls, audio meters... very worth the 30 seconds it takes to get it working. I use it on a 600D.
