    More information
The Popcorn Hour A-400 is the first 3D media player that works with the brand new 8911 SMP processor from Sigma Designs. This clocked at 800 MHz dual-core processor, supports the Popcorn Hour A-400 including H.264 Multiview Coding (MVC), Blu-Ray 3D, 3D MKV and almost all 2D video formats. Older footage and images of poor quality due to the VPX Video Engine polished and sent in the highest possible quality of the Popcorn Hour A-400 to your Full HD television. Through the network you can easily access all your downloaded movies and series play, but a hard drive mounted in the Popcorn Hour A-400 is also possible. On the side of the Popcorn Hour A-400 is namely an opening so in no time a hard drive in shifts. You can then packed up over the network or from a USB stick or external hard drive with video files. You can easily navigate through the library of the Popcorn Hour A-400 with your iPad. Here you have only the NMJ Navigator app for iOS needed. You can even use your iPad as a 2nd screen. So you always enjoy high quality movies and series!

It's about the cost of 3 years usa neflix subscription, do you really need to have all your movies on a drive anymore?

I like the wifi element but it doesnt seem to come with an internal hard drive.

Am I right in thinking you'd need to buy a drive as well? F*ck that

Raspberry PI with XBMC connecting to a NAS drive is better most other Media Centre Solutions for < 33% price (and i have tried most of them). And XBMC is open source software improving everyday.

PI with XBMC has never failed to play a format for me..

I think the day of Popcorn boxes is gone tbh. If you do use a disk something like a Pi, does much the same job. Or a smart TV if you have one. Doesn't need any media boxes. My TV seems to have an issue with subtitles in MKV's though. How is the PI with XBMC with subtitles in mkvs?

Perfect - takes all the known subtitle formats
