I've limited online access at the moment so I've only gotten around to posting this now. This was the third year for European practicioners to avail of Sayoc Kali Sama Sama and it was another excellent event. Hidden Agenda Friday night was hosted by Guro Kevin Estella who trains in Sayoc Kali and also runs http://kevinestela.com/ so it was a fascinating evening of skill learning/building and went on from about 7pm until midnight.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZE4xI6bZb8 This is a clip from Sama Sama US in 2010 with Guro Harley Elmore.

Sat/Sun/Mon is when Sama Sama takes place itself and this year we had a host of top level instructors from the States apart from Pamana Tuhon Sayoc himself, we had his sons Tuhon's Jimmie and Richard along with Tuhon Pat Consing, Guro Bob Shin and Guro Matt Campbell who is part of Sayoc Tactical Group. Over the weekend there was curriculum training, energies, blade awareness skills, scenario training and continuing to develop skill sets along with the various events associated with grading.

Tue/Wed/Thur/Fri was Camp 505 which concentrated on Panantukan (here is a clip from 2008 with Guro Nick Sacoulas who was one of the leading Dog Brothers fighters http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2sYDe86qhU ) and the Guard series with Guro Matt leading the training and giving a Tactical edge to what we worked on as well as sharing a lot of his expert knowledge including some conditioning drills developed by some of the SF guys

Sat/Sun The brilliant weeks training was brought to a close by Instructor Weekend. 10 days fantastic training with some of the best instructors I've trained with and right on our doorstep. Roll on next year :)

Not at the moment but I know the organisation is pretty swamped with redesigning the site and the ongoing work with NCIS LA so it might be a little bit of time before they get a clip up. However as soon as I see anything I'll post it up here
