wheel bearings

Im new to this so I apologise if this is in the wrong forum.

I drive a Nissan Qashqai and there is a really loud humming noise when driving at the moment, louder than the engine sound. I think it may be the wheel bearings any ideas? Any idea on cost of wheel bearing replacement?

If its that loud I'd be having it looked at sharpish, if its a wheel bearing the noise will drop or disappear when you corner as the load changes on the bearing.
No idea of the cost of replacement, but its a fairly straightforward job so shouldn't be too eyewatering cost wise.

been serviced in the last two weeks, new tyres, brakes back and front and timing belt all done within the last few months two

My last car failed an NCT on a back bearing. So I changed them myself(Kinda) I took the wheel and hub off and smashed the bearings but the inner ring was siezed to the hub, no amount of hammering or whacking would free it, so I brought it to a local mechanic and he took it out for €20. I think he used a blow torch to expand the metal(something I didn't have) I always tend to do the little jobs on my cars myself, great satisfaction from doing so.
