I was recently in a bike shop in Sneem, Co Kerry.
It was great being in a small one man shop like this.
Does anyone know any more small village bike shops anywhere in Ireland?
I'm going to make it a mission to visit and buy from such shops before their like are gone.

Birrell's in Mornington (near Drogheda) still does bike and lawnmower repairs - the place looks like its flying to be honest I don't think it's going anywhere soon.

It would be a handy sticky for people touring if we could make up a map of good local bicycle shops on routes across the country.

Yep, any local stores are flying lately with the big surge in cycling through the b2w scheme. Particularly those who only do repairs and parts.

This is really more what I was looking for. I didnt mean a decent size shop that has a website, a facebook page and a selection of tri bikes but just happens to be outside a big city.

The shop I mentioned had 2 new bikes for sale, 2 high nellys and a few tubes.
I think he was working on a motor for a small boat at the time so Im sure most business is from boat, lawn mower and bike fixing.
