Have an issue with satellite signal, I had a feed from satellite dish which connected to wire in attic and ran to plate on wall. Worked perfectly for 5 years with a humax freesat pvr, until last week when no signal appeared on screen. Box works in a separate room, so not the box, feed from the dish works when I connect it in the attic. So all I can think of now is the wire running from the attic to the plate on the wall, it allows a saorveiw signal down but not the sat signal. Is this possible? Or are there any other suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated .

So the satellite & Saorview signals are combined in the attic & fed down the same cable & then separated again in the wallplate?

Maybe something is stopping the power for the lnb getting through from the room in question. A damaged cable could do this, while still allowing the Saorview signal to pass. A flylead from wall plate to receiver would be the main suspect as it would obviously be more susceptible to damage than cables in the wall.

Thanks for the reply, yes both signals come down the one wire, but are split after the wall plate. I changed the fly lead but still no success .

Check for power at other points in the system, maybe bypass the combiner or wall plate.

If you have any further questions, list all the components from the attic down.
