    Well Lads;
    Can anyone tell me about how many permissions you need for deer I have 2 ( always been told it was 3)but trying to track down the last farmer for a signature is proving difficult due to both of us being busy. Will I get away with 2? I know it has probably been asked before but I can't find the thread! Cheers enjoy the 1st weighed your after duck or deer!!

    I think its more important the amount of acres you have rather than the number of permissions, and that there is in fact deer on the land. I was always told 100 acres was the minimum. So Id say even if you have one permission it would be fine as long as it was sufficiently big and the ranger knows there are deer on it. You will definitely need to get the farmers signature on the permission letter though or your application wont be processed.

    100 acres is the necessary figure. I have one permission of just over that.

    as ghost stated, you need the land owners permission, in writing. Submit this with the application form.
    once the local ranger is satisfied there are deer on the land, that's that!

    It's not the amount of farmers its the amount of land you need.

    I got my license on one signature with 103 acres on it. Ive a fair bit more land now but that got my license for me.

    Best of luck with it.
