Ok...sounds stupid but do SUSI use the tax credit bands on your tax cert to assess your income? The reason I ask is that both (spouse combined) our income tax credit limits are 41000pa but im not working and his salary is 25k p annum so nowhere near the upper limit of the 41k. So will they see his actual income as 25k or just band us in the 41k tax credit band?
It could mean the difference of getting a full grant or getting half depending on what figures they are using.

    Anyone know from last year?

    Thanks

I believe they use actual income.

    No they use income

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Thanks for the replies. I had originally thought that but when you are reading these requirements all the time you end up convincing yourself you are using the wrong figures and its all going to fall apart!

Now its just a waiting game. Possibly 12weeks...so nearly November before I know 100% what I'm getting...sheesh! You would think they could say 'provisionally approved for X amount' then you'd know.

anyway, rant and stress over for now!
