Cattle, wouldn't mind sheep but too many dogs around. Is there any profit out of sheep?

If it was viable sheep. Now moneywise it would not be a problem is the farm I have is not set up for sheep and I do not live on it. Sheep are very labour intensive but you can make more money of them compared to most dry stock operation.

There is something about lambs running around the fields in the spring. It also has the advantage that sheep are excellent to graze down land from now on.

Tis true, cattle are a lot less work. On the other end, sheep won't damage land like them when it's wet. Sheep are what I'm used to but I will get some cattle in the future. It's good to be able to do a bit of mixed grazing.

Mind you the fox would get it hard drag a calf away :D
