    Getting .02 MBS from Vodafone . Anybody else getting such pathetic speeds ???

    Promised 17mb in clerihan . Got new modem today from Vodafone to see if it would help still pathetic , when its peak time barely getting 1mb. Anybody in area still promised good speeds and getting nothing.

    Maybe it may have to do with the distance you're from the exchange or even the age/quality of the copper line. These 2 things have a significant effect on broadband speeds. Your modem can give you an indication of these. If you give the guys over at the broadband board a shout, http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=259 , they'll tell you how to do it. Worth a try anyway

    Started with Eircom, went to Vodafone and then sky-one worse than the other. Back to Eircom now. Still crap
