    Just watched this:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1RZO29hsb0

Was there an attempt to hypnotise people when the news of JFK's death happened?
The ad shown right after the news bulletin had a pendulum and even a spoon acting as a pendulum.
    WTF.....?????
    Conspiracy or coincidence?
    It really is leftfield anyways!
    Thoughts?

You don't need pendulums to brainwash people. They will believe anything they see on tv anyway.

Thought this was the conspiracy forum a place to let our mind ponder on the "maybe's" and "perhaps" of any situation, I thought this was just the place for entertainment of the idea that it was an attempt to hypnotise viewers post news bulletin.
No entertainment looks to be found here, what's happened to this place?
    :-(

Becasue strong evidence exists to suggest it was a conspiracy.

It's nonsense like this that takes away from real evidence.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,117 ✭✭✭shanered

It was a strange ad for such a moment.
    Thought I'd share d vid.

    I found it very interesting.
First of all that that advert existed in the first place...
Second that it came right after the news bulletin of JFK's assasination.
When I consider Oswalds relationships within the CIA(or was it FBI?) and all the other connections, this ad does not suprise me one bit.
Don't have time to go through it slowly and consider the exact wording and tone, but that advert was facking suspicious.

To those who think its BS, what do you think the reason was, to have pendulums all over the place in that ad?
Coffee time? I'm not buying that lol

Was JFK's death anywhere near the time the CIA where messing around with mind control?
Also when were those in house experiments with LSD, I believe that might hae been decades later though.
That advert looked really crude, but not so much at all for that era, where the average person had absolutely no clue about psychology and NLP mechanics in people.

Not proof of anything of course, but I found it very interesting, thanks!

This photo shows the bullet wound of entry in Kennedy's right upper back and base of the neck.

    JFK_Autopsy_Photo_3.jpg?t=1278230684

This photo shows the enlarged wound in the throat caused by a tracheotomy. You can also see the exit wound damage to the top front right of the skull.

    BE3_HI.jpg

This is the path of the first shot as it passed through Kennedy's neck to the right of his spine and exited the base of his throat.

    Diagram1-80-150.jpg
    Lattimer's explanation of the diagram
"This diagram of the neck wound is based on personal observations of the photographs and X-rays. Because the National Archives requested that no tracing be made, it is not precise. Its purpose is to clarify the relative positions of the wounds in the neck and the various findings which together indicated that all were consistent with the entry of a bullet into the upper back that ranged downward and medially through the base of the neck and exited low on the trachea in the midline, just below the collar button, causing a nick in the knot of the necktie. The findings were:
    A. Bullet Hole in Back of Suit Collar and Shirt. The coat and shirt were probably humped up on the back of the President's neck (see fig. 83) when the first bullet struck him. The FBI found a punched-in round hole in the back of the coat consistent with a 6.5 mm bullet, with the broken cloth fibers bent inward, indicating that this was a wound of entry. The cloth fibers of the shirt were bent inward in the same manner. Traces of copper from a bullet such as Oswald used were found on the margins of this hole in the coat by the FBI, also indicating that it was a wound of entrance.
    B. Bullet Hole in Back. The bullet hole in Kennedy's upper back, about two inches below the crease of his neck, and about two inches to the right of the midline.
    C. Halo around Bullet Hole. The bullet hole had around it a faint but definite halo, or circumferential bruise, typical of a wound of entry from a high-speed bullet.
    D. Spine Struck by Bullet. Tiny slivers of bone could be seen in the upper (rear) area of the bullet track on the A-P X-ray film of the right shoulder and neck area. Since no lateral X-ray film was taken of this area, it was possible to determine only that they lay near the high (rear) end of the bullet track, but not the exact distance they lay from the surface. They were near the tip of the transverse process of the cervical vertebrae, which the bullet obviously grazed. They are represented diagrammatically only. (See fig. 82.)
    E. & F. Pleura and Lung Bruised. The autopsy report described a 5 cm bruise on the dome of the right pleura and also on the upper tip of the right lung, but no perforation of either, compatible with the passage of a high-speed bullet close above this point.
    G. Air in Tissues. There were tiny traces of air, visible in the X-rays, in the tissues along the bullet track, near the hole in the trachea.
    H. Hole in Trachea. There was a ragged hole in the right side of the trachea, seen by the surgeons at Parkland.
    I. Tracheostomy. There was a gaping 6.5 cm transverse tracheostomy incision low on the neck where the Dallas surgeons had enlarged the bullet hole in order to insert a tracheostomy tube. (See fig. 80.)
    J. Holes in Front of Shirt. There were 1 cm vertical slits in both sides of the overlapping portion of the shirt immediately below the collar band and touching it just below the collar button. (See fig. 84.)
    K. Nick in Necktie. There was a nick or crease through only the outer layer of fabric of the lower left side of the knot, compatible with the passage of a spinning 6.5 mm bullet at high speed. A bloodstain extended downward from this nick. (See fig. 85.) (J. K. Lattimer, Resident and Staff Physician, May 1972)"

The bullet continued into Governor Connally wounding him in the back, chest, wrist and left leg.

This is how Kennedy and Connally would have looked at the moment of the shot through the scope of Oswald's rifle.

No that would be very presumptious. There isn't enough resonance with the psyche for mass hypnosis with that method I think. Mass coercion maybe.
That is not to say the advert doesn't have an effect of some kind.
A lot of the anchors and trigger mechanics of NLP helped me to understand a lot better the ideas behind hypnosis, coercion and how the mind relates to what it experiences.
I know people that actually think NLP and Derren Browns shows are all faked for example, they think its either magic or tricks of the camera or plants.
It's just how the mind relates and makes sense of the outside world, learning the mechanisms for each individual and where/what their buttons are.
    Cold reading,intuition,psychology,sociology etc.
Considering the research the American gov have been doing for nearly a century, I think they would have a decent grasp on mass coercion by using averages.
I see it all the time on tv, political adverts, speeches etc.
Even new age documentaries use these things and lectures.
Do things in three's, pose a question and slide in a comment that leads the viewer to "their own" answer.
Not freakign out about that ad, I just think its very interesting a coincedence, that possibly it is not just a coincedence.
Could be a really smart coffee ad for that era that just happened to be on at that exact moment...I accept either is possible.

Bit of a long winded answer haha, I get excited about NLP and all that jazz.

I have to say, my thinking is quite the same as yours in so much as finding it interesting also a bit strange and I kind of linked it to the operations on mind control etc, such as the ones which the movie, "men that stare at goats" , and that that was all being researched and experimented with in those days, whether it worked or not is a different arguement, but for that reason I would not eliminate the possibility of such a crazy attempt to hypnotise people.

Also, nice info/pics on the bullet wound claypigeon777

    nlp is pseudoscience

Poor old Clay Pigeon loves reiterating the official story but refuses to answer the massive discrepancies between the Warren report and the massive amount of evidence contradicting it's conclusion.

I hope you're getting paid to post that bull****.

I dont think its a science, but it does work for mapping peoples emotions, patterns of speech, body language, thus helping to create rapport.
Once you have rapport on a physical or unconscious level, you can then guide by pacing ahead and leading.
To use NLP in advertising, you may want to use averages on the publics behaviour patterns and triggers. Using that information to create anchors.
The things you might anchor a product to, could be things like a feeling based on a past memory or a word, gesture, phrase, colour, smell etc

NLP is about creating "maps" of other peoples perceptions and experiences and trying to put yourself into that mode to reach a goal.
Its not an exact science, maybe not a science at all, but it sure as hell does what it says on the tin.
Anyway, it would be more advantageous to get a basic foundation of knowledge on any subject before commiting to limit your knowledge in that area.

Maybe NLP is easier to pick up for intuitives.A scientist might have a terrible time learning/believe in/understanding NLP, because you need to train your intuition to unconciously create rapport.
I think intuition is (to speak very generally) a right brain trait.
Lefties got no imagination hehe so its gonna be hard to get, me thinks in some cases like that.
