Cancelling annual travel pass

    Just wondering if anyone knoes if you signed up for an annula taxsaver travel pass say for the train only and you decide to cancel it after 7 months and hand it back is there an admin or break out fee charged if the as the title says it was for an annual contract.

    Taxsaver policies are available here on it: http://www.taxsaver.ie/commuters/annual-ticket-conditions/annual-ticket-conditions/

    So basically if you cancelled after 7 months you might get a slight refund, but probably not, as you'll have paid your employer less per month than the actual monthly cost that will be imposed. Please also be aware that employers may impose restrictions themselves too, to avoid the hassle of having to administer such cancellations.

    If you are buying a new ticket, they may look at things more favourably.

    I imagine refunds will go back to the employer, so it can be taxed properly.
