My best advice is buy a named brand, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki etc. if u buy half price you will buy twice. It the gamaxgoes wrong you will find it difficult to get parts, all the above you won't

Two wheel drive quads- Are they pointless for a farm or is it possible to use one? Looking at a 300cc one but I always used four wheel drive quads on farms.

Depends on your needs...we use for herding and bits fencing, spraying and general running around. Had a 4wd 20 years ago, but changed and stuck with 2wd since and wouldn't be tempted to change.......cheaper to buy, and much less expensive to service/upkeep. Ground here is high, but dry....frankly we would find absolutely no need or use for 4wd..

Agreed fully, if you have a tractor already then I see very little reason to need anything more than a 250cc 2wd.

    You still got it?

No of course you don't need a 4WD. That is untill the day comes you need the 4WD lever and its not there. Then you're fecked.

I bought that quad. Seems to have plenty of power so should pull around what I want and do herding. Not sure on soft ground but time will tell. There are fields I wouldn't take a four wheel drive quad into when wet though. They're hard to get out when stuck. Bikes are nearly more suited for wet ground as you can push them out.

No hassle with mine, yes I still have it.
Two wd with a person on it has plenty of grip.
If your quad is slipping about you need something different. Mine has front and rear racks, and a great headlamp.
    I use it for spraying.

I'm getting frustrated by the 2wd. Whilst the tyres probably need to be changed I don't think it would help. I'd go 4wd if I had my time back and money!
