The club has taken the major step this year to play Saturday 11 a-side football in the FAI O’Neills Leinster Football League for the 2013/14 season. This is a first for Ireland to have a primarily gay team play in an FAI affiliated league.

We are recruiting new players to join the LFL squad, in all positions - matches are played at 2pm on Saturdays, home games at Phoenix Park. Training takes place Tuesday & Thursday nights. If you are a player with the skills to play at LFL level we would love to hear from you – perhaps you have moved to Dublin recently and want to get back playing or are moving for college and want to keep playing at a decent level.
You can see our website at http://www.dublindevilsfc.com/ which has all the contact details.

Of course, we are not just about competitive 11 a-side matches. We also play 7 a-side tournaments and have weekly training and kickabouts suitable for players of all skills (or none) and we welcome everyone along to get involved. We have a great social side to the club and it’s a great way to make new friends, particularly if you are new to the area. We have a number of club trips away each year too, having already been to London and Kerry in 2013 and are planning our November European trip at the moment.

Look forward to welcoming new players or supporters along soon.

Hi, I'm just curious (I'm a fan of English Soccer but not really into Irish Soccer) does the fact that you are now playing in the Leinster football league mean that you can now compete in the FAI cup?

The FAI Cup would be for the professional teams in Ireland (whereas the FA Cup in England will include non-league teams). We are a bit off that level just yet, having just started.

We will be taking part in 3 LFL Cup competitions over the course of the season though and having reached the semi-finals of the Astro League Cup out of 120 teams in Summer 2012 , you'd never know......

Sounds great! I'm not from Dublin, but I wish you the very best. I'll be sure to check up on you every now and again. :)
