i placed an item with an auction house, a reserve was agreed, on the day it was sold for €40 less than the reserve, where do i stand, providing that i can find the recipt with all the details including the auction house reps signiture.

most auction houses will have it in their Ts & Cs that they can use their discetion to sell an item that is less than 10% short of the reserve.
