Anyone know of anywhere I could park after 7/8 o clock near Dame street? Never been in Dublin before so don't know.

There is a car park at Christ Church just up from Dame Street but I've no idea what the rates or hours are like.

Just on the streets. It's free isn't it?!

There's parking on the road that runs from dublin castle to werbourgh street (not sure what it's called) It's a 2 minute walk to dame street. There are parking meters there, but i think it's free after 7.

There is a car park on Trinity street http://www.easytrip.ie/car-parking/trinity-street-car-park-in-dublin. I think it's a bit expensive so I'd usually park in Stephens Green car park http://www.q-park.ie/parking-with-q-park/our-parking-facilities/dublin/q-park-stephen's-green as they have a €7 evening rate (after 5pm afaik).

Yeah, most on-street spaces are free after 7, but can be very busy on the weekend, you might be hunting around for a good while before you find one. It's mostly safe, just don't leave anything valuable on display, and if you're planning on returning to your car late (after midnight), then park east of Christchurch. Some car parks are open all night and offer a pre-pay overnight rate. Annoying to pay for parking, but it can work out easier than trying to find an on-street spot.

Jury's Inn Christchurch has a car park, entrance just beside Burdocks on Werburgh St

I usually easily get parking around Longford St Little/Golden Lane. (No right turn from Aungier St coming from Dame St direction)

Check out Jervis St Car Park, and take a look at Google Maps to see traffic flow to get to Drury St which is close to Dame St. Depending which direction you're approaching it can be access from Fade Street.

    castle street.

be careful not to park in the coach spaces there though!

there are always spaces on whitefriar street which is a five minute walk down georges street to dame street. try to get one of the many spaces outside the raddison if you're worried about the car.
