I want to do group work with an emphasis on the body.
Anyone know of any therapists, who practice bodywork, that are running or starting group sessions?

Seems to be hard to find...

I've left my name and number on several answer machines but have had no luck

    Thanks

I have not come across a process group which works from a body work modality. If you are set on engaging in this therapeutic approach, individual therapy may be easier to find.

If it is psychosomatic issues you are trying to work on,other approaches may also be beneficial

Thanks. I've been doing one to one bodywork sessions for a few years now. I would like to work in a similar way in a group but maybe its just not an option.

I came across a guy on YouTube that was facilitating a group and it looked right up my alley..Carlos Chang, but he's in Sweden!

I'm starting to think I might have to train as a bodywork therapist to be able to do the kind of work I want to

Can you recommend other (similar) approaches I might have a better chance of finding a group to work with?

I know that there is a place up in Dublin 6 that do training in bodywork, you need to already be a counsellor to avail of this training though. Maybe try them, I don't recall the name of the institution, you should be able to google it

    tepc.ie

Haven't gone myself, but think this may be what you're looking for?

Thanks guys. I think you're talking about Integrative Psychotherapy Practice up in Rathmines, I go there for individual, they're amazing but not running any process groups atm..

Hadn't come across tecp.ie in my search so that's great will check them out.

Got a call back from a therapist in 'mind body works' who's starting a group soon. Sounds good, but I might have to wait a while and start the next one. €350 upfront would be impossible for me! I naively thought you could pay week by week. Might have to rethink my plans.

You should be able to pay weekly, I have not come across any therapist who looks for full fees upfront.
