    Hi All

I hope that this is the correct forum (I read the Charter!! :) )

    I have Excel 2007 and Windows 8.

When I have multiple workbooks open my computer "beeps" every time I switch between Excel windows. Really annoying (that and the bloody roadworks outside my window for the past week...).

I did a quick Google search, and I couldn't find anything that worked for me - but bear in mind that I am not very techie.

I did check on the "Advanced" tab of the Excel options and the "provide feedback with sound" is unchecked.

Any advice/solution would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!
    SRG

I love it when I can answer my own questions :)

Control Panel - Sound - Sounds Tab - Under "Program Events" scroll to "Default Beep" and change the Sounds: to "None" - then save ..
