caterpillars in kale?

    We've grown a few acres of kale the last 4or5 years and had no problems with pests etc but recently i've noticed caterpillars on the kale plants and they're making fair holes in the leaves!....it was sown before the dry spell and is a bit back because of it but i'm reasonably happy with how it's coming if it wasn't for these feckers!...

    What can I do to get rid of them? or will the crop out grow them?...Have any of the lads on here that have grown kale come across the problem before?...I haven't grown a whole lot of crops so not too familiar with pesticides etc...

    Have them here too, normally I don't spray, but I think this year is worse than others because of the heat.

    If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.
