Might interest some people. Lovely gear and free delivery. I know not as good as the 50% sale in March but a sale is a sale.

Saw it earlier, half the links didn't work for me then.
40% off in France and 50% off in Germany, Italy and the UK. Maybe use Parcel Motel for the UK, it may work out cheaper Although some of the stuff works out at roughly the same price. You'll notice more if you sort by price (low to high).

I've been browsing a fair bit this morning. Seems the prices are more or less the same for a good few items. If you think you are being ripped off why not buy from the UK site?

On my phone so can't check but how does that compare to the German and Italian sites that are also doing 50% off?

The reason we pay more is down to the marketplace size. I'm sure you can get

the same hoddie in the US for $30 but again that's because they can sell it cheaper

    in a bigger marketplace.

What happened to the eurozone?

Wasn't there all these promises of transparent pricing or whatever, when we took on the euro?
Our marketplace is supposed to be one and the same, same currency.

Like Hawaii and Alaska, except not as far out.

That's a very naive interpretation. For one thing across all of Europe there are different VAT rates, different distribution costs, etc. so retailers would be quite foolish to set a blanket RRP across all of Europe. Now I don't disagree that we see instances where Irish customers are getting screwed, but your suggestion is on the other extreme, expecting us to be pandered to.

Unfortunately in terms of distributions, etc. the UK are probably the most analogous market, but they have a different currency, so don't represent necessarily the same cost of US companies operating in the Euro. Then those markets with the same currency are both larger population, and are part of a mainland.

Either way, this is all a digression from the OP!

I just bought a jacket. Same price here as in the UK. I think there was a couple of pence in the difference.

    http://ie.thenorthface.com/tnf-ie-en/men-s-ceresio-jacket.html €73.50

    http://uk.thenorthface.com/tnf-uk-en/men-s-ceresio-jacket-1.html €73.43

Now stop your bitch'n and let people get on with it

I was looking at the Resolve Jacket. €83 on North Face, €69 on 53 Degrees.
