I've had a PRS53 and a PRS20 and was very pleased with both - moved them both on for different reasons. Eddie's watches are priced sensibly, as you'd expect from a Yorkshireman, and I think are worth the money. I've not seen the PRS9 but a friend had one - the lug tip to lug tip dimension he found a bit much and the watch was hence too big. I think it depends how big your wrists are and whether you can get on with that? It's quoted as 51.5mm on Eddie's website but also take a look at the curvature of the lugs as this will play as much a part.

I'm sure you're all over this like a tramp on chips but there are loads of threads on TZ-UK though I realise that the likelihood of somebody posting a raft of negative comments is low.

    Lads,

I wasn't aware of this at all. I love this watch. Finally a not so much of a Panerai copy with a lalge pillow case and a very decent movement.

I love this. This is on the wish list now... (damn U all for this said the the missus :P)

*I was referring to the PRECISTA BRONZE WATCH - PRS-30...

Why does the Timefactors site have so many watches that are sold out/discontinued? There's no point in showing them if they are not for sale. Most f the Precista's are discontinued.

I guess its so you can log on and see the specs...

Well I am keen to get my hands on a PRS-5, and put in an offer on one the other day. It is very reassuring to be able to go to the site check the specs and also the original price. A lot of Eddie's customers trade watches with each other so I think it is pretty helpful.

Apparently there's also a Zeno take on this. Have a Google of Zeno Czech air force. Personally I find, like a lot of Zenos, that there's too much text on the dial but your mileage may vary.

    Zeno Czech air force.
Jeebus that's a fantastic copy of the Longines. Ditto for the Precista  In this case I don't like the word copy and homage sounds too poncy. :) The original of the species used to be pretty easy to come by, now they rarely come up and when they do it's at silly money*. For such a large and bulky watch(even by todays standards) they sit well on the wrist. I'm still surprised Longines never rereleased their own homage.

*One of three watches I have bruises on my bum from kicking myself for not picking up when I could. 10 years back near to the day was offered an early one for 300 quid. Probably add a zero to that now :(

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

There's actually one for sale on TZ-UK at the moment for £315 (the only reason I even knew it existed). Needless to say I have no connection to the seller.
