Moving back to Ireland from NI

I have been working in Belfast for the last two years and I have been offered a new job in Dublin starting the end of next month.

I have previously worked in Ireland when I was in University and I am originally from Ireland. I thought I would work on a clean slate (Tax) once I start the new job in Ireland but I have been told I may have to pay tax on my earnings which I have already paid tax on in the UK.

    Is this true?

Can I claim back tax paid in the UK seeing that I wont be seeing out the tax year here?
