cdj 400 home made flight case?

    bought a set of cdjs last night to use with traktor.

    lad i bought them was saying you can use a tool box or something as a flight case for them..

    anyone ever heard anything like this? tried searching on web but just found people making coffin cases....

    would take a saw to open up the front slot (although i dont plan using cds) and rear drilled for cables and ****

    You could always adapt one of these cases so the top lid comes off completely, then carry the players in the other way up so they sit feet down on the lid, when you get to a gig unclip the bottom (which is now the top) and you are left with a tray that the player is sitting on with just a small lip that wont obstruct cd slots or cables round the back. no need to go cutting or drilling

    You would need a block of foam glued in to stop the player bouncing around inside regardless of what way up the case is.
